A lawyer by conviction

A certified specialist in employment law with many years of experience and my own practice group, TÜV-certified as a data protection officer and AI compliance officer, and a founder with venture capital experience. Wherever employees, data, AI and capital meet, I advise from a single source and spot the connections that would otherwise get lost.

My focus areas

My focus areas

Certified specialist in employment law

I know employment law from more than ten years of practice across its entire breadth. What that means in concrete terms, you can see here.

10+ years of professional experience in employment law

I am a specialist lawyer for employment law with 10+ years of professional experience. Drawing on this extensive experience, I assess employment law questions with a clear, pragmatic and solution-oriented view.

Individual and collective employment law

Individual and collective employment law both form part of my long-standing experience, in advisory work as well as in court. I take on matters from both areas with the same depth and routine.

Own caseload with no reporting duty

My own caseload under my own name, with signing authority and no reporting duty, shapes my work as a lawyer. I take responsibility for matters from acceptance through to conclusion.

Extensive litigation experience

My extensive litigation experience ranges from conciliation hearings to proceedings before the Higher Labour Courts. Clients benefit from this in every single case.

Employment law support in insolvency

I advise employers and insolvency administrators independently through all phases of insolvency proceedings.

Negotiations with works councils and trade unions

I conduct negotiations with works councils and trade unions for employers and insolvency administrators, with a clear strategy and an outcome that counts for the client.

Drafting and negotiating reconciliation of interests agreements and social plans

In the course of corporate insolvencies, I negotiate reconciliation of interests agreements and social plans and bring them to a conclusion.

Data protection, AI compliance and VC

Advisory fields between law and technology

Data protection and AI compliance only work when legal knowledge and technical understanding come together, and financing rounds only when lawyer and founder speak the same language. That is exactly where I come in: as a lawyer who is also a techie and a founder.

Data protection law

Data protection with experience from around 450 companies

For many years I have been a TÜV-certified data protection officer. In this role I have advised around 450 companies from all sectors across Germany on data protection law, implemented the obligations under the GDPR for them and, since 2018, deployed a scalable SaaS solution that I developed in terms of concept and content.

Data protection in numerous industries

From health start-ups handling sensitive health data, through medical practices and recruitment agencies, to international companies transferring data to third countries: I know the GDPR from almost every perspective it offers in day-to-day business.

Employee data protection

As a specialist lawyer for employment law, my data protection work focuses on employee data protection, the interface between the two fields. I therefore answer data protection questions in the employment relationship from both employment law and the GDPR, from a single source.

Correspondence with supervisory authorities

I bring experience from numerous proceedings to correspondence with supervisory authorities. As a result, companies face the authority well prepared and with a clear line.

Data protection in internet projects

I design websites, online shops, apps and SaaS solutions to be data protection compliant from the outset. My own experience from more than twenty years of internet projects helps me here.

Data protection as software-as-a-service

With the software-as-a-service solutions I have developed in terms of concept and content since 2018, companies handle their data protection obligations largely on their own and without prior knowledge. Their employees are trained in data protection via e-learning, with no administrative effort for the company.

AI compliance

I implement the AI Act legally and understand it technically

Because I have built AI-based software myself, I understand how an AI system works technically. That is exactly what makes my legal advice precise: I classify systems accurately, see where the technology actually becomes legally relevant, and give recommendations that can be implemented directly in the system. I am also a TÜV-certified AI compliance officer.

Venture capital

Financing rounds from a founder's perspective

I know a seed financing round with venture capital from my own company, from the first conversation through to the notarial deed. Legal knowledge and entrepreneurial experience come together here directly.

Seed financing in my own company

As a founder, I negotiated and closed a seed financing round myself. I therefore know the dynamics of a financing round, the interests of those involved and the decisions that arise in this phase at first hand.

Contractual architecture of a financing round

I assess the contractual architecture of a financing round, from the term sheet through the investment agreement to the shareholders' agreement, both legally and entrepreneurially. The entrepreneurial perspective stems from my own financing round as a founder and opens up a second view of every provision that goes beyond a purely legal review.

Negotiating as equals

Valuation, anti-dilution protection, vesting, participation rights and all the other topics of a financing round are familiar to me from my own negotiations with investors. I therefore bring this knowledge directly into my advice and strategy for a financing round.

Communication as a strength

Understanding that builds trust

Legal quality only takes effect once the client understands it. I speak my clients' language and explain legal topics clearly and with a focus on solutions, from one entrepreneur to another. That creates trust which lasts beyond a single matter.

  • Open communicationTransparency from the outset: my clients always know the status, options and next steps in their case, along with a clear assessment.
  • Clear languageI express myself clearly and to the point, without impenetrable legal jargon, so that my clients can follow every recommendation and act on it.
  • Personal approachBehind every case there are people. I take time for what really matters to my clients and support them personally, on an equal footing and reliably.
